Sabu was born from the meeting of two arts, gyotaku and photography.

Through the sensitivity and perspectives of two men who have the sea as an element of their character and DNA, this meeting gives rise to the intention of communicating their lifestyle and thus promoting cultural and environmental awareness through the images that art evokes.

The brand name refers to the underwater universe (sabu in Japanese means SUB) the letters that were the syllables are circled alluding to the bubbles at the bottom of the sea, the Japanese was chosen due to the gyotaku (and the aesthetics of the spelling).

Spearfishing is an essential part of the brand concept, fundamental due to its selective capture nature.
